Video Chatting for the Holidays

Family time during the holidays is never quite the same as when we were kids.  Yes, we still have the tree, present exchange, food, and laughter. But without all the kids under one roof, there's a little bit of the magic gone.  Our cupcake princess couldn't make it home for the holidays, but we still managed to have fun miles apart.  Video chatting while opening stocking stuffers and presents helps us bring the holiday magic to our family though we're miles away.  And of course, chatting about fashion finds and cupcake recipes is always a topic of discussion or even fashion show or food show during our video chats!

Speaking of fashion finds, my favorite gift this holiday came from my mother-in-law, $50 Gift Card to Goodwill!  Who knew Goodwill has gift cards? Not me! Now I'm going to map out multiple GWs in the area that I haven't visited to have a 1 day excursion of thrift shopping! My excitement for this adventure is comparable to my sister's excitement for new cupcake decor and fun spatulas! (make easy gift card purchases for ANYWHERE @ giftrocket.com)

I know thrifting is the new craze right now and I could be considered a cult leader.  If you would like to join this religion of thriftiness, I'd suggest you start at your local Goodwill.  Here is a quick overview of my thrifty Christmas outfit.....my husband asked if I was going for a lumberjack look.  My response, "I still have to add my knit hat."
